Our rathole rig features a 3-stage kelly drive, giving it a total drilling capability of 90 feet — enough reach for the majority of conductor pipe and rathole applications encountered in California oil field operations. It can also drill up to 8 feet in diameter, making it well suited for oversized hole requirements that fall outside the capability of standard production rigs.

Setting conductor pipe correctly is a critical first step in any new well program. It provides structural support for the wellbore, prevents near-surface formation collapse, and establishes the foundation for subsequent casing strings and wellhead equipment.
