Our Services
Abandonments
California’s regulatory requirements for well abandonment are among the most rigorous in the country, and MMI has the experience and equipment to meet them. We offer a full line of abandonment services for operators looking to properly plug and abandon wells in compliance with state and local requirements. From cement plug placement to final surface restoration coordination, our crews handle abandonment work thoroughly and efficiently — helping operators satisfy their obligations and move forward with confidence.
Testing Services
Keeping your well equipment properly tested and certified is a critical part of safe operations. MMI provides both B.O.P. testing and hydro tubing testing services to help operators stay compliant and protect their crews and assets.
Our B.O.P. testing services verify that your blowout prevention equipment is functioning correctly and meets regulatory requirements — an essential step before any well intervention or workover begins. Our hydro tubing testing services pressure-test production tubing and related equipment to confirm integrity before it goes downhole, reducing the risk of costly failures and keeping your operations running safely.
Rigs
MMI operates a complete line of single and double production and workover hoists, all of which meet or exceed industry standards. Every rig in our fleet is regularly inspected and maintained to ensure that customers receive safe, reliable, quality service on every job. Whether you need a rig for a routine workover, a recompletion, a new well completion, or a plug and abandonment operation, MMI can mobilize the right equipment and crew for the work at hand. Our rigs are well-suited for the varied well conditions found throughout the San Joaquin Valley and the broader California basin. We also operate a rathole rig for specialized drilling needs.
Wireline
MMI offers a comprehensive suite of wireline services, from one-ton units to full combination perforating, pipe recovery, and logging rigs. Our wireline division has been a consistent presence in the California well services industry since 1970. We handle the full range of wireline applications including free point, back-off, chemical and jet cutters, string shot and nitro gel, absolute pressure firing heads, RCT (radial cutting torch), and perforating with TCP heads in 1 11/16″ and 1 3/8″ configurations. We also offer slickline services with a double drum .108 and .218 unit for routine well intervention and production maintenance work.
Vac Truck and Crane Services
MMI’s vac truck and crane division runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to support your production and field operations. Our fleet includes triplex circulating pumps and 60–120 BBL vacuum units, operated by well-trained, experienced drivers who are screened and rigorously tested for safety and reliability. Whether you need fluid hauling, tank cleaning, location cleanup, or crane support for equipment moves, MMI’s vac truck and crane team is organized, professional, and focused on keeping your operation moving.
Special Services — Foam Operations
MMI is proud to offer a complete line of foam well services, performed by highly trained and skilled operators. Foam operations are an effective solution for unloading liquids from low-pressure or low-energy wells that are having difficulty producing on their own — helping operators restore and sustain production without the cost and complexity of more invasive intervention. All MMI foam equipment is strictly inspected and maintained to ensure a safe, quality operation on every job.
Coiled Tubing
MMI’s coiled tubing unit is a self-contained, easily transported, hydraulically powered workover unit that injects and retrieves a continuous string of tubing into a larger string of tubing or casing. The system does not require a separate workover rig, can be used on live wells, and allows continuous injection of fluids while continuing to move the pipe — making it one of the most efficient and cost-effective tools available for well intervention. MMI runs coiled tubing in sizes from 1 1/4″ to 1 1/2″ and applies it across a wide range of operations including plug and abandonment, bridge plug and packer setting and retrieval, fluid circulation, and wellbore cleanout.
Transportation and Light Towers
MMI rounds out its service offering with transportation support and portable lighting solutions for field operations. Our DOT-towable generator units and solar light towers keep your location lit and operational around the clock, and our transportation resources help move equipment and materials efficiently across our California and Nevada service area.
